Terms of use.
Plain-language terms governing your use of spanlinesystems.com. Quotes, contracts, and project engagements are governed by separate written agreements; this page covers the website itself.
Last updated: 2026-04-28
Site purpose
spanlinesystems.com is published by Span Line Systems, a division of Art Metal Canada, as informational marketing content for prospective clients. The site describes services, references applicable codes and standards, and provides a quote-request form. It does not constitute professional engineering advice, a binding offer, or a substitute for project-specific stamped drawings.
Information accuracy
We aim for accuracy in the technical content on this site — code section references, standard numbers, typical specifications, lead times, and price ranges. That said:
- Code section numbers and their interpretations change. The cited Ontario Building Code, NBCC, and CSA standards on this site reflect the editions current as of the page's last update; verify the current edition for any permit-bound work.
- Pricing ranges (e.g. on the cost guides) are 2026 typical bands for Ontario projects. They are not quotes; project-specific pricing requires a site measure.
- Lead times reflect typical Ontario fabrication and install windows; specific projects may run shorter or longer.
- Examples and project descriptions on this site may include illustrative composites unless explicitly cited as a specific project (case studies use real project specifics where authorized; other pages may use representative examples).
Quotes and contracts
The quote form on this site initiates a conversation; submission of the form does not create a contract or oblige Span Line to perform work. Project engagements are governed by:
- A written quote signed by the client and by Span Line.
- Stamped structural drawings produced by a P.Eng. registered with PEO.
- A purchase order or signed agreement specifying scope, schedule, and price.
Marketing content on this site does not modify or override those documents.
Intellectual property
Text and design on spanlinesystems.com are the intellectual property of Span Line Systems / Art Metal Canada and are not licensed for republication. Code section excerpts (e.g. "OBC §3.4.6") are short references to public codes; the codes themselves are property of their respective issuing bodies (Government of Ontario, NRC, CSA Group). Reproduction of code text beyond brief reference requires permission from the issuing body.
Third-party links
This site links to external resources (PEO licence lookup, CWB Group, Ontario codes, CSA Group, etc.) for verification and reference. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or availability. Links to client websites or partner organizations don't constitute endorsement of their other content.
Liability
To the extent permitted by Ontario law, Span Line Systems and Art Metal Canada are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of information on this site. Project-specific liability is governed by the project contract and the professional engineering stamp on the drawings; this site disclaimer does not modify those.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any dispute arising from use of the site is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Ontario courts.
