Industrial mezzanines & steel stairs in Brampton.
Span Line engineers, builds, and installs structural mezzanines, work platforms, and code-compliant steel stairs for Brampton's logistics and manufacturing sector. Our Etobicoke shop is about 20 minutes down the 427 and 407 — measures and installs are quick to schedule.
In short: We're an Ontario fabricator building mezzanines, platforms, and stairs for Brampton's warehouse, food, and auto-parts operations. The shop is roughly 20 minutes away via the 427 and 407, so Bramalea, Gore, and Airport Road sites get fast measures and installs, stamped to OBC 2024.

Built for the Airport Road corridor.
Brampton is one of the busiest distribution markets in the GTA — the Gore and Bramalea industrial districts, the Steeles Avenue corridor, and the Highway 50 / Airport Road belt feeding Pearson. It runs heavy to logistics, food processing, and auto-parts warehousing, and those are exactly the operations where a storage mezzanine or a pick platform pays for itself when the racking is full and the building can't grow out.
A fabricator on the far side of the GTA treats a Brampton measure as a trip; from Etobicoke it's a short run up the 427 and 407. That means faster measures, tighter install windows, and a crew that can return quickly if a site condition moves — which matters when a distribution centre can't stop for long.
Steel that solves a floor problem.
Storage mezzanines
Recover cube over racking or open floor — 125–500 psf decks for pallet and case storage.
Work platforms
Pick modules, pack-out decks, and value-add stations with conveyor pass-throughs.
Equipment platforms
Elevated support for HVAC, process equipment, and conveyor drives.
Egress & access stairs
Code-required exit stairs and mezzanine access towers to OBC §3.4.6.
Guardrails & handrails
42" industrial guarding, mezzanine edge protection, and pallet-drop gates.
Catwalks & access
Service walkways and crossovers over lines and equipment.
A galvanized fire-escape stair, retrofit.
For a Brampton fulfillment operation we built and installed an 18-ft exterior galvanized fire-escape stair tower as a retrofit — anchored to the existing building envelope, engineered to carry the occupant load the added mezzanine created. Exterior retrofit stairs live and die on the wall connection, which is why we look at the masonry or steel before we quote, not after.

Span Line Systems is the industrial mezzanine and stair division of Art Metal Canada. Drawings are stamped by a PEO-licensed P.Eng. on staff; welding is done to CWB W47.1 and CSA W59 by our own certified fabricators. We don't white-label the fabrication or subcontract it out — the shop that draws it builds it.
